Hello everyone, first of all thank you all for the support, it's been a wild ride.
As you may have guessed the winter is coming which means that the ebisu complex is finally coming to an end! It's been a crazy journey for me, this is the biggest project i have ever undertaken to this day. The map is pretty much done and mostly require polishing at this point. This will take a few more weeks, as I don't want to rush it. But the wait is almost over!

The release of this map will take place on the 1th of December and will introduce some big changes to this patreon page ( deletion of the current tier and recreation of brand new ones with updated prices), as well as a discord sever opening.

Building realistic maps for video games im passionate about has been a part of my life since more then 10 years now, I always saw that as a hobby but now thanks to you guys, the dream I had of making this my job seem achievable now, and I can't thank you guys enough for this!

Now let's explain how I see the future of my content (no I won't disappear for 6 month). I want to keep bringing more of those legendary Japanese tracks to life. The way I do it at the moment is by using low resolution lidar scans and satellite imagery, which is much better then just guessing the elevation changes by eyes, but this method have a quite high margin of error to it, and at the end of the day it is just my interpretation of the track, wich can be far from being perfectly accurate.
This is where photogrammetry/photoscaning come in to play, if you don't know how that works, it creates high accuracy 3d model and photorealistic tetxures of a subject by taking hundreds of picture of it under each angle. So basically I want to learn how to master this craft, so we can get super high fidelity tracks to drift on.
Here is the plan, in a first place I'm gonna alternate between making tracks the exact same way i have been doing this year, and on the side, I ll learn to master photogrammetry by scanning tracks and roads near my area. Then once i get confident with it, I will fly to Japan and scan as many tracks as humanly possible.

The future of the AC drift scene looks bright and photorealistic! I hope to see you there!
