I didn't mind the extra Davy Back stuff too much, always a fan of more Straw Hat shenanigans. The unfortunate part of it is that some of the lines and dialogue make somewhat less sense than they would have in the original manga. Nami's line about taking the boss and the Foxy Pirates getting mad is a good example. There were only three games in the original manga: the race, the ball match, and a third event that will be the last one we see in this arc. It was a match between Luffy and Foxy, so the Straw Hats would have won by default, which led to the Foxy Pirates booing Nami before she shut them up.
