Great reaction but I'm really sad you haven't watched the 2003 version of the show, they introduce the nice people from the Youswell town, a bit more about Armstrongs family and Rebecca there. The plot is weird and completely different halfway through but the character introductions are way better

I'm so disappointed, at least just for the bit you skipped at the end. Since you've been skipping the endings, you missed what this episode does, showing what everyone's doing in preparation for The Promised Day! This is such an important episode, with that bit being the cherry on top, but oh well. I hope you'll see this, or maybe someone in chat will mention it, but with this episode, there's no longer any spoilers in the OP and ED. Then, with the next ones being the last before the end of the series, I also hope from the bottom of my heart that you just go ahead and watch them when they appear! Regardless, it's been a hell of a trip getting to this point, and it's exciting to finally see you make it to the home stretch! We in the end game now.

if I remember right, he actually was supposed to slip the note in her back pocket when he did that. the cover is that he's an eccentric so its not unlike him to be so absurd. (the issue is I didn't see him do that in the scene)

Honestly the 2003 version might have a bit of extra padding at the start but the ending was pure garbage. No need to sit through that mess just to understand who youki is xD

When you're finished with FMAB and want to know more about the symbolism, the meaning behind certain things and real life inspirations, there is a small video series on YouTube from the Channel Max Derrat named „An Actual Alchemist Analyzes Fullmetal Alchemist“. I highly recommend it.

What I love about this kind of episodes is that they build a whole network of information and not just get everyone in one point because the plot need it and a mage told them
