When I watched MHA the first time around I hardly cried at all, watching you made me realize I'm a sympathy crier lol. Dammit Alicia, stop making me cry 😭 (love the content as usual!)

oh hey, look. deku once again being a massive selfish pos who only cares about himself and what he wants. who could have seen that coming...? once again, validating his own emotions is more important to him than the safety of all those civilians at ua. "oh, "but i feel really, really bad for breaking my promise with eri and disappointing her". yeah, because that totally justifies putting the lives of countless civilians at risk. (even if you do think gentle is not a threat, without the ability to read his mind like us reader can, you can't actually know what his true intentions are, so just assuming he is no danger because you think you know him based on one video you saw of him is incredible dangerous and reckless. and that doesn't even go into the fact that, even if gentle is harmless, ua is under massive social pressure after failing to stop an attack on the students TWICE now. the fallout of letting anyone breach the school, and be it just someone like gentle, would be catastrophic and, in the worst case scenario, could even lead to the school shutting down, as was implied by director nezumi after the attack on the training camp. this of course would mean none of the current students could graduate and go pro, resulting in a massive shortage of heroes in the future and who knows how many catastrophes, crimes and loss of lifes as a result of that. but hey, deku feels really, really bad. that's worth risking everyone else's futures, isn't it? also, even if the ua festival was cancelled, are you really telling me they couldn't just have a private concert for eri somewhere else? are you really telling me the ua students wouldn't be totally fine with just grabbing their instrument and go to visit her for a performance? yeah, right.) and you know what pisses me of the most? deku never once actually suffers any consequences for his selfishness, because he gets lucky and succeeds, and, as we all know, the end totally justifies the means, right? he again and again unnecessarily puts the lifes of everyone around him at danger because he can't control his flipping emotions, so he has to get involved at any cost, and that's more important than doing what's right or doing what's best for those in danger. hound dog even fully acknowledges that what deku did was the objectivity wrong thing to do as a hero and even calls him out on it directly to his face, yet deku never actually faces any consequences for his actions. even worse, he actually gets celebrated for it, both in-universe and by the irl fanbase. the worst "punishment" deku ever gets are a couple of days of house arrest. oh yeah, that will totally teach him to change his views and not to be a selfish prick in the future. just once, only once, do i want to see him actually face any consequences for his actions, but no.... god, i hate this show sometimes. i enjoy literally anything else, but i can't stand that deku is just celebrate again and again for his absolute atrocious actions and never suffers any consequences, which of course also mean he will never actually improve and grow as a character. *sigh* once again i'm sorry for always being so negative when it comes to mha, but i honestly do love the series. i've been following the series since it first debuted its serialization in jump, but it's exactly because i love it, that i can't stand the absolute disgrace of a true hero deku is. just because he means well doesn't mean his action are just or even justified. after all, the road to hell is pathed with good intentions, and i shudder to image how things would have turned out in a world where deku hadn't the luxury of having an almighty creator watching over him who's gonna make sure he will always succed no matter how idiotic he acts.

Word ig? Plot armor tropey stuff like this can get a little annoying in Shonen but I’ve kinda just learned to look past it. I see your perspective but idk I feel like this arc of the show is just supposed to be a fun arc, weirdly juxtaposed to the arcs before and after.

Fake Name

Showing a mini Jirou flashback in the middle of a music number is like hitting Alicia with a corner combo infinite. There's no escape, the tears counter is just goin' up.

I love the visual of Overhaul's influence being burned away from Eri by the joy of the concert. She's a baby!

11:00 Are you serious about that?! People REALLY got nothing better to do in life than to subscribe to channels with the pure intention of hatin'?! I encourage everyone who follows Alicia on Youtube and here to tell the haters to touch some fucking grass and leave her majesty to her cheese and hustle!! I can't stand Andrew Tate and Ben Shapero, but that doesn't mean I'm going to waste my time talking shit on their video content! The only silver lining I can see is that these haters are inadvertently giving clicks, subs, and comments to add to Alicia's popularity. Guess this is a negative times a negative equals a positive.

Malkalypse

Wait, you haven't seen Star Wars or LOTR???

SupremeCai

11:30 that don't take much time tbh lol

Ian Moscrop

She explained this before, but she wasn't allowed to watch much tv or movies as a kid.

This episode right here, Alicia, is one of a handful in both One Piece and MHA, that I have been sincerely looking forward to watching with you. Not because it's one of the most well liked episodes as it is rather controversial for many people. Because of the impact I thought it may have on you and the happiness it can bring.
