Fun fact about Stone Ocean at the time Araki wanted a female protagonist for his manga but his editor said that readers were not going to accept a female lead on a shonen magazine he said that was the exact reason Jolyne need it to be a female protagonist

I worked retail from 2020 till very recently and throughout that I’ve worn my mask. The amount of customers who have gotten all up in my face for wearing my mask is ridiculous and I had people telling me that it wasn’t real or was made up by the media. Thankfully my coworkers had always been supportive, even though most of them didn’t mask after 2020, almost all of us were vaccinated and it wasn’t a contentious topic between us. We did have a string of Covid infections tho and even I ended up catching it earlier this year, tho I’m lucky to have gotten the weaker strain (which is crazy since my fever got so high I almost had to go to the hospital). It’s so embarrassing how Covid became politicized here in the U.S. instead of uniting us against a genuine threat to all of our health and safety.

They were distracted (by Jolyne doing a Joseph-like trick) with "their" boat's rope...in the manga, dun-dun-dun. So they never looked in their direction there. The anime had to cut down on that for time-constraints. Happens a bunch. I wish they had done so for Dragon's Dream instead. yup I'm that guy uh oh I'll go hide in a corner I don't wanna be the guy

So the June 19th thing was because June 19th, 1865 was when the last major group of slaves in the Confederacy (around Galveston, TX) was freed. The freed slaves held a big celebration and it existed for some time as an unofficial thing some black people celebrated until it became an official federal holiday recently. Though slavery only officially ended in 1866 when the 13th Amendment was ratified by 3/4ths of America's states.

Being fair, tigers' camo is pretty good if you consider most prey animals aren't as good at distinguishing colors as we are. To most mammals, anything that isn't violet/blue is just a different shade of green; so they don't see tigers as orange, like we do.
