Recaps in One Piece are very long sometimes. Like 3 minutes. It's really not bad yet. But they also get creative with them, so I sometimes watched them.

Fun facts: - that thing striped on Jango's chin, it's not a goatee. It's the stem of a fungus that grew there for some reason. He ate the cap and that's why he can now hypnotize people! - yes, those things on the butler's jacket are golden turds. NGL, Kuro and Jango casually explaining their plans it's not the peak moment of creativity for One Piece XD.

There is something to that I think, (Oda loves morally grey characters after all) but in a situation like that I would say that only Usopp has the right to trash him for it, different people have different values. Also, knowing what kind of things are out there in the One Piece world, I doubt Yasopp is living a completely carefree life, lol.

i think early one piece is just like jojo part 1. everyone says it kind of sucks and is super slow, you watch it and have no idea what they are talking about, then when you get way further ahead your also saying the earlier part are kinda meh.

Luffy is so funny in the earlier parts of the series because he’s constantly just kind of looking at people like 😐 and they constantly have to find ways to keep him out of the fight until everyone else get their turn because he pretty OP at this point

Happy to see you loving it so far. Early One Piece is very good. Some people think it starts slow which is why they tell people watch until the late 30 episodes. One piece is love One Piece is life. You will see lol. I love the pace your going too.

I agree, One Piece was good at episode 1. Luffy's savagery was introduced so well. Also, I don't know if it's a popular opinion or not, but I really liked how they did episode 1 different in the anime than in the manga. The manga did chapter 1 with Kid Luffy and Shanks vs the Bandits, and I think that works well for reading a manga. But choosing to start the anime on the cruise ship worked really well for the anime. (I think part of it is the Anime's 1st Director, Konosuke Uda. He ain't no joke)
