I agree that you shouldn't respond to words with violence, but I think Alicia's story is understandable given how young she was at the time, and the fact that the other girl was grabbing her jersey. The other girl turned the altercation physical, so at that point she can go fuck the entirety of herself.

I love the brief shocked look Zuko gives when he sees Katara blood bend the current captain. For me, it conveys two thoughts. 1.) The more obvious "oh damn, she's gone all in. Shit getting real now." 2.) The more subtle "this could have potentially been me... she wasn't bluffing when she threatened my life." Like damn...
