Love the amount of times the nut joke has been made lmao

Julio Castillo

in episode 125 Netero had the thought "When was it that i stopped hesitating to be gracious, taking the hands of vanquised opponents when they bowed their heads in defeat?. That cannot be the ultimate power i sought"..... Which implies that he never wanted to be gracious or merciful in the first place, that he always wanted to fight to the death against whoever challenged him. Which i think it's another great example of this Arc's Overall Message... which is to Question the Nature of Human Kind. We always thought of Netero to be typical Old Mentor Figure who is harsh but benevolent at the end of the day...... but here we learn the opposite, he is harsh... but he's definetely not benevolent, he only respects the strong and has no empathy for the weak... i would even argue that he despises those who he considers weak. It's no wonder then that the Hunter Exam is so harsh and unforgiving, as the Chairman of the Hunter Association..... he is the one who decides what kind of tests the aspiring hunters must face. Tonpa funnily enough said it himself.... "The Devil himself could pass the Exam if so was the Examiner's will", a subtle but effective reflection of the kind of person Netero really is. Compare that to where Meruem is now....he has learned that people who are "weak" also have value, and as someone who is strong he has the responsability to use that strenght to protect and aid those who can't protect themselves. And then we are left to wonder....... Who is the Good Guy and who is the Bad Guy? Who is the one we should be rooting for? Who is in the right in this situation?. On another topic..... It really concerns me when people see Gon completely surrender himself to malice and his complete lack of empathy towards Komugi.... and still get excited about it. I've decided to call this phenomenon the "Rob Syndrome", which is when a reactor fails to view the situation for what it is and instead reverts back to simple Shonen-fan-mentality of "I want to see the Protagonist fight the bad guy", which in turn also makes them ignore (hopefully just momentarily) the entire message of the Arc. In short.... We should NOT be cheering for Gon right now, at least that's what i think Togashi is trying to tell us. But hey... who am i to dictate how others enjoy a show? This reactions are awesome all the same.

Easy Mode - A.I

half way through I found a few contradictions, I won't spoil but rewatch the episodes where he plays with gon/killua and then go back to when they show his backstory!
