To be fair, if Kazuma and his group had not been there, Dullahan would not had attacked town, likely. It was due to Megumin Explosions to Castle that caused Dullahan to attack in first place. Kazuma could had tried to talk things over and Aqua did help Megumin to nail Castle few more times after first warning. Also if Aqua had better Intelligence stat she would had just spammed Sacred Undead and, in my mind, killed Dullahan after 10 second. But her Int is below average.

Konosuba is so great. It was one of the first straight comedy animes I watched when it came out. Glad you're having so much fun with it!

The dullahan really was lonely, he had a whole reception prepared. Never brought up in the anime, but in the LN he was excited to have guests

This is a misunderstanding of weak to water Durahan doesn't hate water, They just hate river For a simple reason, what if for whatever reason drop it's head and... the head went with the river and they would just die.
