I love this movie. The acting and writing are terrific. Timothy Hutton is tremendous. Mary Tyler Moore was phenomenal. She's a wonderful comedic actress so to see her in such a departure for her in this dramatic role was great. I think it would be easy to hate her character but I think she had her own demons that she needed to explore. I don't understand her, but I do think she wasn't innately like that. But Timothy Hutton I love in this movie. I believe he won the Oscar for it. For such a young actor I think he delivers a superb performance. It's a shame though, because your Mike cut out mid way through the movie so any comments you made and even after the movie I could not hear. I could tell you liked it though.

Most of the leads got Oscar nominations (surprisingly not Sutherland). The film, writer, director and Hutton won. For me, 10/10. You, mate?
