JIM SCHMITZ

By the time this came out, I'd forgotten most of the book, so it was well done for me: fine performances, decent CGI, and strong cinematography.

The main points of the movie that I wasn't too fond of were the tensions between Peter and Caspian (which if that was in the book I don't remember it), and the failed attack on the castle. The main thing is the attack on the castle. That's not in the book. Not such big issues to dislike the movie by any means. But enough that it lowered it's position on my personal list. I haven't watched the reaction yet, and I may re-watch The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe again first, but I'm curious to see if Trumpkin is recognized as being "Tyrion Lannister".

Watched this one last night. I'd have watched it a day earlier but I watch in a dark room on my 65" and the yellow border was too bright on my eyes, so I had to do a little editing lol. I wouldn't say specifically that Lucy was the main character but I would say that she's a key or pivotal character in both of the first two books. The stories don't really 'revolve' around her, but I think she's a key character. I think that if these stories were to be seen as a child's imaginary fantasy, it would be Lucy's imagination that we're viewing. No spoilers for "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader", but of the books and even of these three movies, that one would be the one that I'd call my favorite. Also, there was a series of TV movies (I think from the BBC), in the mid to late 80's that goes into some of the other stories. I don't remember how far they got but I remember for sure that they at least did "The Silver Chair". If you wanted to let your kids see these stories but maybe these movies are a little too mature for them, those 80's BBC movies would probably be perfect for them.
