The only reason this movie was made was that 2001's "The Mummy Returns" promised to have Dwayne Johnson's film debut from WWE wrestling to movies. And it did--For about five minutes out of the entire movie. Universal quickly greenlit an all-Scorpion movie as an apology, but that doesn't mean they had a story chiefly in mind going in.
