Long before the vast fangirl army that would defend Dreamworks solely for the Dragons movies, there were fans who would speak no evil of Jeffrey Katzenberg, hoping that Dreamworks would someday make another movie as GOOD as this one. (Unfortunately, even the directors never outdid themselves, with Brenda Chapman going on to “Brave” and “Strange Days”, and Simon Wells going on to “Mars Needs Moms”.)

This film is a masterpiece. Im not a religious person, but you dont have to be to understand, enjoy and know the story. Animation: 10++ - Dreamworks has the best animation. The way they drew this animation and created the lightning is the best i've seen. Music: 10+ - I get shivers every time Voice acting: 10 - I really think they chose the right voices for the characters. Voices you like listening to and pull you in. - This film had soooo many powerfull moments pff. I can say alot about this film, but im not going to haha. But i do want to say that the story between Moses and Rameses is brilliant, beautiful and so painful. In their heart they were brothers and Moses even says that he wished god chose another. Doing all this to his brother whom he loves is breaking him. And seeing the transformation in both of them is great. Moses becoming a honest man and a real leader. Rameses trying to continue the path of his father. Only his feelings of stubborness and feeling betrayed by his brother, created his downfall. Both stories are really sad and beautiful at the same time. - I do think they were able to tell this story so well because its animated. I dont think it would be this beautiful if it was live action of any sort. - I remember watching this for the first time at school. I went to a christian school (though everyone was an atheist XD (except some teachers), oh the irony. Anyway, the whole school watched this togheter and i was so floored by this film that i always wished we would watch it every (i think) easter. But we never did. And when i found this film a few years ago i was incredibly happy. I only remebered 'that one film i watched in school i found so intense and beautiful'. - My favourite line from the film: "I did not see, because i did not wish to see"

Top-notch music, strong visuals. Too bad it's devoted to a worn-out story.

Dreamworks made a prequel to this as well, Joseph: King of Dreams. It's definitely not AS good as this one but is underrated and worth a watch.
