- Teaching their children that the other nations are dangerous and bad.. Its really sad and awefull to see. - I DONT KNOW MY FAVORITE ELEMENT.. When i was little it was always water. And i still love water. But they are all great. You will see its hard to choose in coming episodes/ seasons. To be honest i would be happy if i would be able to bend an element. IMAGINE living in a world like this with bending abilities and you're a non bender. I would hate myself XD hahhaha. - While you were talking about liking fire but not the people associated with fire bending. And i thought: "Oooohh you just wait a few minuts"XD. - What i really like about this episode is that they explain why there is a specific order to learn the elements as the Avatar. They also teach you about the dangers of fire in general and what characteristics you need to be able to learn proper firebending. Aang has always seen it as a cool element. Dangerous yes, but he really saw with his own eyes what would happen if you dont have these characteristics. + he was very impatient. He learned that patience is a very important thing to have, in bending, but also in life. - Healing abilities! So waterbenders can control water/ ice and can heal. How cool is that?! Aang learned ALOT in this episode. Great characterbuilding again. Though i can say that of every episode xD. So Jeong Jeong is a fire bending master who is against the fire nation and there was the fire sage Shyu, who helped Aang in the temple of Avatar Roku. There are some who are not evil. Oh one last thing. You learned that fire comes from the breath. And in episode 1, while Iroh taught Zuko firebending, he said: "fire comes from the breath, not the muscle". As you can see Zhao didnt want to learn proper breathing. The way he firebends is different. He uses his muscles. He throws his whole body in his blasts. Thats also why he lost from Zuko in episode 3. Zuko defeated him by using the basics of firebending. But you're right. His way of using firebending is dangerous + he has an ego and finds reputation very important. That combination is dangerous.

Listening to the master’s explanation on fire bending, it makes sense why the fire nation is so disciplined. It’s not just a dictatorship. Their way of life—their safety—depends on not being reckless.
