I love people showing interest in Titanic! In regards to the lifeboats, Historic Travels did a video called "Titanic History/Would more lifeboats have saved more people", it's an exceptionally insightful video and helped me and many more people to understand what would have happened in that event. I highly recommend anyone interested in Titanic to check out this channel!

Great video. Love anything on the Titanic! This is the first I have heard there was a closer ship than the Carpathia!! Horrible! I could be wrong, but I think Brittannic is just a name of a ship. It belonged to the White Star Line. Not sure that it has anything to do with the Encyclopedia Brittannica, which I just googled, and was first published in 1768. Maybe named after that though... Also, them thinking the ship was unsinkable was stupid, but lets be honest, they thought a lot of stupid things. Wasn't that long ago that we believed cigarettes cured asthma. And go 50 years into the future from now, I am sure we will know more, to be able to look back at now and think how stupid we are right now in 2021. We don't know what we don't know. We can't know what hasn't come yet. And lets face it, our arrogance as a species makes us pretty dense. Thanks for the great video, as always!

I loveee these video's ! - I dont think the SS Californian could have saved everyone but maybe a couple hundred more.. That the captain didnt give any importance to the help signal is awefull. Everyone should help eachother. Especially on sea. Those are your colleagues and you know that if a boat has trouble, people's lifes could be in danger.. bad captain. - Well yea, they didnt put alot of lifeboats on the boat because it was believed it was "unsinkable". # The Titanic could have carried 64 lifeboats which could have been capable of carrying 3,547 people. # They planned to carry 48 lifeboats, but to make the deks look less cluttered, they decided to lower the number of lifeboats. # In the end the Titanic carried 20 lifeboats. If you want to know more about the lifeboats, here is a website: - https://titanicfacts.net/titanic-lifeboats/ - But even if they had 20 lifeboats, every boat could carry 40 - 65 people. But they send the boats of with sometimes maybe 12 (RICH) people on board :). Because you know, privileged. - I do believe the Titanic carried more people then anticipated. Especially "lower class". - I agree, they should do safety instructions on boats like they do on planes. - Yes! He could have made a difference. I love this quote form Mulan: # “A single grain of rice can tip the scale. One man may be the difference between victory and defeat". - I LOVE how they give the crew a special statue. The true hero's in wars or tragedy's are the forgotten ones. - Yeah some people who were saved died later on. The first one was a baby. She was known as the first survivor passing away after 3 months i think because of uhh pneumonia i think. Not sure what it was exactly.

Oh i just found it. The Child was 11 months years old. She died 3 months after the disaster of meningitis (so she died at the age of 1 year and 2 months). She was the first survivor to die after the sinking.. really sad. Also because her parents survived as well..

There is an alternate ending to Titanic. It's not as good as the original ending but you should watch it. https://youtu.be/9uXa1R2e4a8
