Sokka's jealousy in the beginning was really funny. I love that in this situation people experienced something horrible. But they chose different paths. But i understand Jet's hatred. Both his parents got killed and i assume he had no one left. He grew up alone ( i think because they dont tell you) and found other orphans/ lost kids. He grew up in a certain eviroment which made him who he is. Katara and Sokka lost their mother. Even though not late after, their dad decided to fight in the war with all the water tribe man (see episode 1), they still had eachother, gran gran and the rest of their tribe. But at the same time. You make your own choices. Katara and Sokka hate the fire nation to. But they know that there is a difference between soldiers and civilians. Also between what is good and what makes you just as bad as the firenation. They all learned a big lesson this episode. But the crown goes to Sokka. It was really his episode. I LOVEE the sentence: "No Jet, you became the traitor when you stopped protecting innocent people". Its soo strong and powerfull. Its gives me chills everytime. I always love to hear that when you meet certain people, your life changes for the better. In your case it was your wife and then your son. I hear it alot, that having a child, makes you a different person or suddenly you find something beautiful and want to protect it. I heard that alot.
