Stephen King film adaptations can be hit or miss, but definitely some of the best films ever made were inspired by his work.

Pretty much all the ones I've seen range from good to great: this one, "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Shining" (I don't care if King himself hates it), "Christine," "The Dead Zone," "Stand by Me," and "Misery."
