I went to see this on a date when it came out, and while this movie was not the first time I had seen Tom Hanks in something, having seen movies like Big and Splash and the sort, it was the first time I had been absolutely blown away by his acting, and he remains to this day one of my favorite actors. And this remains one of my favorite movies. The story was fantastic, inserting him into historical footage was phenomenal at the time, plus the soundtrack they compiled for this film was top-notch. I still own it and listen to it often. It was fun reliving this memory of the first time I'd seen it by watching along with you, and the rollercoaster of emotions this movie takes you one. Great reaction video :)
