Havnt finished the reaction yet so not sure if you eventually realised but this movie is a stand alone. It doesn't have anything to do with the Christopher Nolan films. This was just meant to be a possible story as to how and why he became Joker with little tie ins and stuffs to the actual batman comics. I love the mental health take on it and he has become my favourite Joker.
