First seeing this film in the theatrical version left me upset that the trees ending the Battle of Helm's Deep was left out. It made no sense that the horsemen charging in with Gandalf was enough to achieve victory, and the orcs would still be around to cause more damage. There are slightly extended versions of Hp films out there. Peacock streaming service carries them. Still anxiously awaiting LOTR 3.
