Sonya Drumm was a lot like Ursula Nolan in that she came from a wealthy background, but where as Ursula came from Old Money and was the pride of her lineage, Sonja came from new money built on advanced waste management plants and was a disgrace to her family’s name to be built. So much so that after one disasterous public night her father killed her in anger and tried to dispose of her body in one of his waste disposal plants. However, the highly polluted chemical makeup of the sludge brought Sonja back to life, turning her into a composite being of toxic sludge and developing an even more boarish personality than before. Taking the name Sonja Sludge, she got revenge on her family and then set out on a crusade to live a life of hedonistic freedom on her own terms, becoming a career criminal, thief and mercenary for hire.

Sonja Sludge is a being made entirely of toxic slurry that grants her limited polymorphic shapeshifting abilities. While she primarily uses her powers to blast or drown her victims in her sludge, she is slowly learning more creative ways to use her abilities. Sonja Sludge is best described as a hedonistic sociopath who does whatever she wants whenever she wants, not caring for those who suffer in the process and completely disregarding the rules of society. She sees Empress as a huge Killjoy and takes an opportunity to humiliate her or kill her, making her one of the prominent founding members of Mister Decay’s Acid Reign.
