NRGVerse Villain: The Curator (Patreon)

Hey Guys! Got a sort-of new Slamazon villain for you guys, but this one is technically a grander NRGverse villain to all of our heroes, like Ryker, Aego or Travail. This here is our premier magical villain, the collector of magical artifacts and leader of the Unknown Circle, The Curator!!

ORIGIN

Primarily, Ryker’s Think Tank and its members dealt in the improvement and eventual control of humanity through the applications of various scientific fields. But early in its development The Think Tank had become acquainted with like-minded individuals who dealt with the opposite- fields of magic. Ryker formed a sister conglomerate Think Tank with these beings named “The Unknown Circle”, who opted to try and improve and control the world through magic in conjunction with the scientific Think Tank. But as the superhero community emerged and grew with members whose powers/abilities originated for magic or who dealt in the world of magic, the Unknown Circle’s members faced the similar threat of exposure and potential destruction that the Think Tank did, forcing its members to work increasingly closer together in goals, often with those of the Think Tank. Ironically, this often meant the Unknown Circle was sometimes at odds with the Think Tank, and the threat of a complete break off became imminent.

This was in part due to the workings of the Unknown Circle’s de facto leader, a being known as ‘The Curator’. Long considered by both organizations as Ryker’s magical equal in every way, the Curator’s was similarly an unknown being whose face was hidden and true origins and end goals a closely guarded secret, though he was rumored to be a semi-immortal being . Specializing in the illegal acquirement and dealings of magical artifacts, the Curator ran a magical blackmarket through which he acquired and sold artifacts of great power from across myth, magic and lore to those willing to meet his price; though he was known to keep the best and most powerful relics for himself and was rumored to be building an arsenal, his favorite artifact being the fabled “Eye of the Storm” medallion, which gave him to summon and control dangerous weather patterns. But the Curator was also as much an opportunist as Ryker, and he could see the forces of magic were slowly beginning to make their way in the public eye of modern humanity once again, and he felt the Unknown Circle’s rightful spot should be at the forefront of it.

To that end, the Curator has begun his own efforts in creating magical supervillains by having himself and the Unknown Circle provide magical means of power to criminals and even heroes alike. His dealings and those of the Unknown Circle have caused the birth and opposition of many of Earth’s magical heroes, notably Slamazon, Governess, Kayn and Night Shroud.

Powers/Abilities

• Black Market Arms Dealer who deals in magical artifacts
  • Supplies criminals and even heroes with powerful relics for those willing to meet his price or work in his favor.
• Arsenal of magical relics include the Eye of the Storm, a jeweled medallion that grants him the ability to summon and control dangerous weather patterns of various types.
• Leader of the Unknown Circle, primary enemy to many of Earth’s magical heroes.

So, yeah, if you remember Slamazon's origins she got her powers while trying to stop a robbery that was attempting to steal the Girdle of Queen Hippolyta. That robbery was put together by the Curator, and since then he's been trying to get the girdle back from Slamazon.
