NRGVerse Villain: Skulljack (Patreon)

Update 8/4/2023: So, to make long story short, we've decided to revise/refocus Ryker as more of a grander NRGverse villain as opposed to a mostly Toonman-focused villain. We just figured it made more sense for his character, so we're making some updates to some characters associated with him. SOME of Ryker's henchmen will stay Toonman villains, but not all. Updates to character origin below.

Hey Guys! Gotta another Toonman villain you are getting an exclusive look at! Meet Ryker's #1, Skulljack!!

ORIGIN

Ryker’s right hand man and enforcer, Jackson Baxter had been one of the few to be personally invited into employment under the Superpower Broker. At the time when they met, Baxter had been an ex-soldier turned mercenary bouncing from one illegal job to another, his willingness to get the job done by any means necessary even if the tactics were extremely underhanded making him an ideal candidate to Ryker. Knowing Baxter desired power more above everything else, Ryker made good on that promise by enhancing Baxter physically and mentally and then arming him with one of his best weapons– a pair of high tech “keys” with positronic energy blades that would allow Baxter to override and “jack” any machine, computer or even mind of another being and allow him to control them while connected to a cybernetic headwear. Jack took the gear and customized it into an identity for himself- “Skulljack”. For years Skulljack has been Ryker’s number one– bringing him clients and guinea pigs for his experiments, collecting debts and tying up loose ends when needed, and even assisting Ryker in his labs from time to time.

When Ryker began shifting most of his focus into capturing the newly emerged superheroes of the world, Skulljack naturally became his go-to enforcer and fieldman in charge of bringing them to him. To that end, Ryker has granted Skulljack leadership in assembling a crew of Ryker’s other superhuman experiments and workers - both old and new - to better aid them in their mission. Skulljack has dubbed his ensemble “The Skeleton Crew.”

Powers/Abilities

• Enhanced strength, speed, durability, agility and healing.
• Ex-soldier trained in numerous combat styles.
• Wields Skeleton Keys - two positronic energy blades that allow him to jack any machine or person and control them when linked to his cybernetic helmet.
• #1 enforcer and right hand man to Ryker, obsessed with obtaining power and inflicting suffering on Toonman.
• Leader of the Skeleton Crew.
