Toonman Archenemy: Sakuga (Patreon)

Hey Guys! Got another awesome Toonman villain we're giving you guys an exclusive preview of! This here is Sakuga, a big anime hero revealed to be a terrorist within Toontopia!

ORIGIN

Though Toontopia was regarded by many humans as a paradise for cartoon characters, it had its fair share of problems. One such problem was an ongoing “race war” between many eastern and western cartoons, which had been going on since the dawn of animation. Many cartoons of opposite cultures were prejudice against each other, many disputes coming to full attacks against each other. The way Toonman had described it, some thought it was akin to an internet flame war over who had better animation, storytelling and fanbase, but Tom said it went beyond that- many cartoons just outright thought they were superior to others and deemed them an inferior race of toons. Such was the case with an oppressive moment in Toontopia known as Rising Sons, whose attacks against western cartoons across Toontopia were orchestrated by an unknown leader known as “Sakuga”. But it wasn’t until the 4th walls between Toontopia and the human world were opened that the identity of Sakuga was revealed.

Regarded by both worlds as the most beloved anime protagonist and antihero, Jikan Ryoto was the main character of the popular sci-fi battle shonen, “Tempus Continuum”, and his time-manipulating powers had been instrumental in aiding Toonman’s victory against Rancora and as a founding member of Toon Force. But in truth, Jikan was an extremist whose belief in animation racial supremacy and purity stemmed from his views that Anime cartoons were vastly more powerful than western cartoons and therefore vastly superior. And only the complete genocide of western animation would satisfy his desire for anime supremacy. And if that meant he had to bring his crusade into the human world to make it happen, then so be it. And with his followers of anime warriors aiding him, no one was going to stop him- not Solman, not the heroes of Earth, and certainly not Toonman.

The reveal of Sakuga’s identity had hit a heavy blow to Toon Force, but especially to Toonman, whom after coming out as an otaku in the human world, had revealed that Jikan’s series had been his favorite to follow; him and Anny Mason.

Powers/Abilities

• Time Manipulation - Sakuga is able to manipulate chronall-tachyon energy to control time for various superhuman abilities and feats, making him one of Toonman’s most dangerous foes.
  • In addition to the laws of audience rules with all Toons, the magic system within Jikan’s anime series is written so he can only sparingly use these abilities for brief moments at a time.
• Leader of the Rising Sons, an all-Anime oppressive moment dedicated to the supremacy of all western cartoons.

Sakuga is another major Toonman villain who won't come along until much later in the series, but if we can find a way to squeeze him in sooner we will!
