Hey guys! We wanted to introduce you to another planned superhero we have for the NRGVerse, one of the more supernatural variety.

This here is Kayn, and as his name implies he is the son of the infamous lord of darkness, Vlad Dracul aka Dracula. Kayn was a product of breeding experimentation by Dracula in the 1800s in an effort to create both a worthy heir and a new breed of vampire immune to sunlight. However, upon learning the death of his mother, Kayn rebelled against his father and began hunting down his father's forces, eventually teaming up with the legendary Abraham Van Helsing to bind his father and his remaining forces (along with his own sacrifice) forever in stone (hence how he got his scar on his chest).

However, in modern times Kayn, Dracula and his remaining forces are accidentally freed by an inspiring horror writer, Abigale "Abby" Jones, while researching Transylvanian lore for her new book, and thus inadvertently restarts Dracula's crusade against mankind in a modern age. Now Kayn and Abby work together to take down his father and his growing forces, as well as taking on new, horrifying supernatural supervillains growing in the world.

Kayn has all the classic abilities associated with his kind and much more (such as superhuman enhancements/senses, conversion, bat/bat swarm shapeshifting, mist generation, hypnosis, claws/fangs, levitation, etc), and in addition is able to walk freely in daylight. However, he is much, much, MUCH weaker during daylight, and still has all the common weakness vampires have such as garlic, holy water, stakes, etc. In addition, Kayn views himself and other supernatural beings as monsters that need to be put down no matter what, so he sort of has a death wish. But thanks to Abby's influence and in honor of his lost friend Van Helsing, Kayn is slowly learning to let go of his violent tendencies and instead embrace and embark on the role of a healer/doctor.
