You can take Metformin for PCOS. It also has anti-aging effects.

Julian

I am also a single uncle that goes to the birthday parties, but it's mostly family so I don't think it counts lmao

Dylan Mueller

Austion we can do a episode of in the tub... minus the camera and mics.

frankenkoopa

Seeing Austin and Kaya staring at the waffle 🧇 is hilarious

Sebastian Zimmer

I've have never seen someone so disappointed to receive food that looks so amazing

LeahGia

QT might have PCOS or another kind of hormone imbalance so it’s always good to get it checked out but the chin hairs can be completely normal too. It sucks but it happens to all the women in my family at some point in their late 20’s just like that. She’s by no means alone.

deestands4dorky

hasan tries so hard to make qt happy :(

Angela Mariann

oh the emo is getting to hasan actually

deestands4dorky

Going out for the podcast isn't a bad idea. I love when the steak and eggs podcast go out and do weird things. Like spa day.

I have PCOS bad and I've been to many OB/GYNs and endocrinologists over the years. My GYNs have explained that there are 3 things that can indicate PCOS and if you have 2 of the 3 things, they will typically diagnose you. 1. Irregular periods. For example if I'm not on any hormonal medication I will go sometimes literal months without periods, or I'll have 2 periods in a month. (I'm in the middle of my first period in six months right now and it's as hellish as it sounds; I've been bedridden for days.) 2. High testosterone. This is very, very easy to test with blood tests. For me even on hormonal medication I was still producing 3x the testosterone that a person with ovaries should. 3. Ovarian cysts. This is what is determined by pelvic ultrasounds. These are *not* required for a PCOS diagnosis (like I said you usually only need 2/3 indicators to be diagnosed). For example, I didn't have ovarian cysts when I was first diagnosed with PCOS at 17. I *have* developed cysts in the past few years though (I'm 26 now). I even had to have a polypectomy this past year it was so bad. Now, as QT mentioned, PCOS comes with other side effects too. Absolutely losing weight is very hard if not impossible because insulin is a hormone and PCOS messes up all of your hormones (not just your sex hormones). I had an eating disorder for years and did not eat and I never lost weight. Even if I ate less than a thousand calories a day for a month, my weight would stay the same. A lot of PCOS people have to take medication to balance their insulin. Additionally, because people with PCOS often produce extra testosterone, they produce extra androgen. Androgen is the sex hormone we associate with "male" body hair. This is where we see people with PCOS growing more facial hair (I get a bad mustache lol). Another condition to look into if you have bad/painful periods is of course endometriosis. This is when your body is producing a lot of extra estrogen. I can't speak to this personally obviously, but my cousin has this and has had numerous surgeries over the past few years even though she's only 22. QT and Hasan are right that healthcare in this field is really new relative to "mens" health. I think it's really important to find good doctors. I am a fat, white, non-binary person with PCOS, and I feel like I've only been really treated well/normal by doctors that are similar to me. The best doctors I've had have also been larger bodied people with PCOS, which helps tremendously to feel seen (whereas cishet male doctors in the past dismissed a lot of my concerns). I didn't even know about the insulin stuff until THIS YEAR at age 26. Almost a decade after my PCOS diagnosis. Whereas I know other people with PCOS that were treated for insulin resistance since their late teenage years. Definitely definitely find a good doctor. This is a real hodgepodge of information, but I just wish I knew a lot of it sooner. Especially, especially, the insulin stuff. My health has been severely compromised from the lack of information and care I had for years. So I hope it helps at least someone ❤️

LolisoseGaming

QT, aswell as PCOS, check into endometriosis and adenomyosis. You can't see certain growths on ultrasound, so it's not a good way to rule out these things. I think the way they find out is laprascopy, however, I would understand if that is terrifying. My thing is endometriosis. My doctor recommended me to quit the sugar pills, and just start on a new week with pills right away so I basically get rid of the period (but you get in between bleedings in about 3-5 months in). It helped my pains a bit. You could check with your primary doctor if this is something you should try as a pain treatment. Your pain is valid.

Marco

Hasan needs to take another trip to Japan asap to turn around his mood

Tyler Allison

I'm an engineer for a company that designs obgyn products. You guys are correct, the field is 100% years behind when it comes to tech, and of course it is rooted in misogyny. It's honestly insane to me the shit some doctors still use. Some doctors still do shit blind lol

Taveon Hurd

lol at Austin and Kaya with the same demeanor as soon as QT opens the waffle

Vella

I have a love hate relationship with my Apple Watch. It will track my steps but it doesn’t count any stairs ever (I walk at least 4 flights of stairs a day since I go into my basement 2x a day). It also does not count any low intensity workouts as workout minutes. If I go on a walk or a hike, my watch does not count it. Ugh.

co60ca

Facial hair on women is very normal, hit it with electrolysis QT.

Mai

if it is five hairs every day that is a lot. if it is five hairs over a month or every couple of weeks, that seems normal. I have one or two hairs that appeared in my 30s.

snicolex

My sister in law suffered with PCOS and my sister is being diagnosed with it atm, seems super common now we have more awareness around it, from what I’ve been told treatment can work really to help symptoms ❤️

Mel

QT, I got diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. My ultrasounds were clear too. They diagnosed me through my period symptoms and my hormone levels in a blood test. I have a lot of the symptoms you're talking about: very hard to lose weight, bad periods, I don't have facial hair but my body hair got a lot darker and thicker. I'd just talk to a gyno about your symptoms and ask for a hormone panel that might show imbalances commonly found with PCOS.

Dylan Coonce

Kaya and my little sister have the same bday ❤️

Murkus

having no context of that last story before now, I saw a tweet that was like "kai invited his guy to his stream, got him a girlfriend, and paid him 20k but didn't pay the girl" and I was like "well that's weird I guess whatever." So it's crazy to now know and agree that he should not have paid that girl lmao

Ptheo

I'm with QT and Austin, fuck being in large crowds, its a disaster waiting to happen. Then again I am also insane.

Brendan Quinn

Looks like Hasans sweatshirt just says cum lol

NoLifer445

for real I hope he gets better soon. It's never nice when you're feeling low, possibly depressed and wanting to end it all. Praying for you big guy 🙏🙏 hope you feel better soon.

mellomeg

For QT -- definitely try to get a follow up ultrasound (transvaginal if possible) for your ovaries during different parts of your cycle. It's increasingly common, but it might also be an age thing. Getting random longer beard hairs definitely starts to be common for women when you approach 30, and I experienced a significant change in cramping/pain around that age as well. PCOS can also be investigated with blood work that looks at your thyroid, too!

mingle27

I also have PCOS and they didn't discover it until i was 35 after having issues since i was young. I went into the emergency room and to the doctor many times with issues but they never saw any cysts so even with all of the other symptoms no one ever said I had it. It wasn't until they actually saw this that they were like aha you have this and you've had it all along. Push for a comprehensive diagnosis . Unless you happen to go in with pain and they give you an ultrasound and they see cyst it is really hard to diagnose. But once you get that diagnosis a lot of things make sense and then you find out that you could have lived your life not having any pain during that time of the month and that's what made me crazy. Knowing that when my friends were talking about feeling really crappy and me talking about feeling really crappy and how much worse mine was I wish I would have known when I was like 17 years old. I had an easy solution for myself with a simple progesterone only pill that I take everyday and my life has improved 1,000%. Go to the doctor tell them how you feel and what you think you have and make them rule out that you don't have it with 100% certainty

Jose Marin

Man this was a weak one this week. Glad we know who’s on wine about it tomorrow! Austin and qt are def not insane for being scared of guns everywhere. Theaters, concerts, malls etc I gotta be looking for suspicious ppl, exits escape plans and shit. This country is so fucked because of guns

Anthony Snider

My mom has PCOS, it's the reason I'm an only child - she always jokes that I triggered it (she was a very young mom, pregnant at 16 through some.. unwilling means iykwim). Went my entire life seeing her in just such severe pain, irregular periods, etc and all of her stupid ass doctors never let her just remove her ovaries, even when she turned 40 her doc was like "ehh idk you might still want one more kid) and now finally at 46 she's got a new doctor that's scheduling her for surgery. If it is pcos then godspeed qt

Hannah Gray

Hasan humming panic at the disco….hes changed.

Mads Lund

Hasan has gotten so old that he worries about how many steps he takes a day. That’s some shit my grandpa does 😭

Koms

one thing that i took from this that QT and Austin should never ever have a gun lol. I luv them sm but they should not be in the vicinity of a gun.

Kenneth

For people trying to lose weight: the calories burned calculation is total bullshit and you shouldnt factor that number in

KittyCaity95

That amount of profane acts in a concert is definitely not normal, Hasan, lol.

Kenneth

It's funny Hasan says great form while will does some of the worst bench presses I've ever seen

NoLifer445

Poor girl I didn't know QT was on her Period. as a dude I don't know what it's like but it's probably terrible I hope it ends soon so she can get back to feeling herself. instead of being tormented by her own body.

Cysts on ovaries, irregular periods (including not getting periods), and excess body hair as a result of hyperandrogeny are some typical traits of PCOS but you don’t need all of them. You also don’t need any cysts on the ovaries for a diagnosis despite the name of the condition. You can also apparently potentially have a milder version of the condition that doesn’t clearly meet diagnostic criteria, but there’s probably more likely causes if the main symptom someone has is period pain. Endometriosis is an example of a common condition that causes many women significant pain during menstruation. If the main symptom someone has is just irregular periods then there’s a very wide number of potential causes for that. It can be normal for young teens, it’s common for those who are stressed, have eating disorders, have fought off or are currently still experiencing an illness, etc. Some people just naturally have irregular period too, though it’s important to rule out nasty causes. Women experiencing symptoms of hyperandrogeny (such as excess body hair and irregular periods) may also be experiencing this due to another disorder, such as a thyroid disorder. All the other disorders I listed are also relatively common in women. I’d recommend any women having symptoms should get them investigated if that’s accessible to them. That said I think having 5 facial hairs is normal for some women. Bodies are just weird and annoying sometimes. It’s normal to feel insecure about it, and doesn’t hurt to rule out concerning causes, but it’s often just normal. Some women will grow more hair when stressed too, and if that’s the cause the extra hairs will often just disappear with time too.

Heron Garrett

You should be able to turn that on in the workout app? Mine definitely came with a walking option in the app at least. Just checked and there’s an option for hiking too. If I go to “Add Workout” and scroll down there’s also an option for Stairs.

Heron Garrett

It’s normal to go to a relative’s party. You’ve got a totally normal connection to the children and I’m sure they’re happy to see their uncle. You’re literally family lol.

Molly C

Hasan doing the same to qt that he had just complained about doctors doing to women. Aka not believing her. And yes i get he was sorta joking but also dont think he believed her face hair struggle sucks lmao

ApplesOranges23

The Try Guys' Trypod started doing that, and I watch them, they're fun. When I tried watching their studio podcasts I was bored. Oh yeah, the DougDoug fast food challenge was a blast.

Benjamin Bruce

Kansas City Native here, definitely on the same page with QT and Austin about being cautious or anxious in public spaces as it pertains to mass violence. I've had that fear since the end of high-school, (over 10 years ago) anytime I am in a crowded, heavily trafficked public space. I may have even agreed with Hasan before the super bowl parade shooting this year in our downtown, that my fear was closer to paranoia than a legitimate concern. However, after the super bowl parade, that I DID NOT attend thankfully, all of those fears and worries were immediately confirmed. Also, ever since the Aurora, Colorado shooting at the Batman premiere, I have been SO nervous anytime I've attended a movie premiere. You want to try and be calm and grounded, and say to yourself, "I can't let this extremely unlikely possibility taint my good time, or stop me from doing the things I enjoy", BUT! But, it just feels like it isn't illegitimate anymore, it is truly something to consider, especially when going to mass events that have been planned in advance and have been public knowledge. Shit is too scary and common to dismiss.

Atsxeb

Ah yes the good ole impossibility of existing as a woman. Thanks patriarchy.

I really appreciate your suggestion but it still won’t count walking as exercise minutes even if I set myself for a “walk” workout. ;-; It makes me so sad because sometimes my 30 minute exercise that day is walking and it won’t close my ring even though that’s my dedicated workout that day. I don’t know if it’s because I have short legs and thus can’t walk very fast or if my heart rate doesn’t get super high. As for stairs, that’s more me being nitpicking. If I actually did a stair master, it would probably track it if I set it to workout

Definitely sounds like you have PCOS, QT. I spent a full year getting it diagnosed. Do directly to a specialist, preferably a female doctor who had had the condition, which was who diagnosed me. I was originally also told I didn't have cysts or issues in my lab work but if you've been on birth control for a lot of your adult life, this will mask some of the symptoms including cyst growth. Theres a ton of medical fatphobia and misogyny but you deserve relief. I also felt the way you said where I knew something was wrong with me but wasn't believed. Just being on a supplement has allowed me to lose like 1/3 to 1/2 of the weight I was struggling to lose and many of my symptoms have improved.

uniq223

i have endometriosis. the only way they could diagnosis it was surgery. all my scans and bloodwork came back normal always. but talking about weight gain and facial hair def sounds like pcos! dont give up if a doctor wont listen

Brittany Lewis

That sounds like PCOS. Last fall I started my journey to figure out what was going on with me. My primary doctor has been amazing through it all, but it’s been a long process! First, was seeing how my body would be without birth control since it can mask symptoms. Second, was blood work to check testosterone levels and insulin resistance, then an ultrasound. With it being a reproductive disorder and metabolic disorder care plans can differ.

In the first movies, Chucky was a relatively normal dool, with just a fuckd up facial expression, it wasn't until The Bride of Chucky that the scarred version came up after his girlfriend at the time resurrected him joining the pieces of the doll in a vodoo ritual.

Guns are treated like accessories and not weapons in today's world. Not afraid of guns, afraid of morons with them. Austin sounds like he wants a sleep number bed but seeing him deal with the app would be funny. I average 12k steps. Force myself in the morning to walk about 5k and when stressed ill smoke cannabis and pace and think thru some problems. Find time passes by and at 10k in no time and think thru some problems but need the time.

JohnnyT

QT, ooooone of the cures for PCOS is to get pregnant. But be careful with the actual existence of cysts and the size of them, so get checked soon. It's impossible to understand unless you are experiencing it. Sorry for the parasocial comment

AshyNyx

hey QT i got diagnosed with PCOS a month ago. to get diagnosed you have to get blood tests and a transvaginal ultrasound. PCOS is often related to higher than average testosterone levels in women.

AshyNyx

i’m no doctor so i have no idea. if you really think something is wrong go get those tests done:)

Vic

Redheads do indeed need more anesthesia! Their bodies run through it faster. It's from distinct mutations from their melanocortin-1 receptors. (I work for an anesthesia group).

Hasandy

Do doctors give red heads more anesthesia without question (if they see your hair colour) or do you have to ask for more yourself?

SakuraGore

I always love seeing Hasan get such cute aggression with Kaya. I am so glad he has the best girl to give him all the fluffy support he needs.

Kevin Reyes

Lmao there’s a moment where Kaya and Austin are both drooling for the pancake

Maria Isabel Lopez

OMG Kaya looks so cuteeeeeee! Those first minutes of the podcast made the patreon so worth it.

Sadhorsegirl

It’s ok Austin, when I come to Portland I’ll try to find your Starbucks and give you a crazy fan recognizing you experience. You don’t need breakfast with hasan

Sadhorsegirl

She’s seems sedated (Valium, Xanax, etc.). Not a bad thing if it’s helping her!

Vic

Before a procedure, the patient can mention to the pre-op team that they require more sedation (typically a previous surgeon or doctor will suggest that they do so). During a procedure, an Anesthesiologist (or CRNA) (I can't speak on anyone else who administers), will do closed-loop monitoring (keeping an eye on their vitals) etc., and will adjust accordingly. They're VERY good at noticing if anything is out of the ordinary and will take action to correct it.

@qtcinderalla I’m really sad I just thought of this, but I wish I had bugged you to add a category for “best fan game” or “best game creation streamsr” or something. If you’ve never heard of him, BarbarousKing is one of the coolest streamers. In 2023 he released his third and final game that he built on stream. He definitely deserved some recognition, but that side of twitch is pretty disconnected from the rest lol. I think it would be cool if at least you or Ludwig tried to beat his game (grandpooworld3) on stream. It would be great content.

Tiana

The joke is PCOS doesn't have to be hard to diagnose. It's an ultrasound, blood tests and objective symptoms. It's hard to get a diagnoses for because most gynos/doctors minimize your symptoms and won't even refer you for that testing without a fight. My pediatrician told my mom she suspected I had pcos at 11 years old. I didn't get diagnosed until I was 26 when I changed to a 3rd gyno practice and he was horrified no one tested for anything. Turned out I had pcos, endometriosis and a pituitary (benign) tumor. Pcos is super common QT. Worth exploring nonetheless

Michaela Peck

As someone who has been dealing with PCOS for the last 16 years, half the time ultra sounds can't even see my ovaries even tho the left one has the cysts that grow and EXPLODE on them periodically, my periods always lasted for 2 weeks minimum, I could not sleep unless I was sitting up straight and lent over with my head on a pillow so I could put pressure on the cysts (even while on pain meds) and I only had about 4-6 periods a year with sometimes 6 months in between them. When I was 25-26 I had the absolute pleasure of having my period for 62 days straight, it was the most miserable I've ever been in my life. Thankfully now my period is more regular, it might skip a month if I'm really stressed but it only lasts a week now, but as I've grown older the facial hair and especially hair loss consistent with male patterned baldness is the real problem now, oh and women's hair loss solutions just make it fall out more cuz I produce too much testosterone! Sorry for the long comment but I just want QT and the viewers to know that they aren't alone if they also deal with this condition, and thankfully it can get better, you just have to find the right diet (not a fad one, your lifestyle choice) and all the weird supplements that your body won't produce to help you function "normally"

Taylor

I don't think QT will see this BUT for anyone concerned, one thing you can do to lower your chances of getting ovarian cancer is going without a period for an extended length of time. This is often achieved by being pregnant but can also be done with birth control. I know that's an entirely different rabbit hole of finding the right BC for you but it's doable. Hypochondriac girlies rise up!

Crazy how Hasan complains about his job whilst literally having the best job in the world. He can't take a single ounce of criticism either. Anytime anyone says anything about him- his ego goes into attack mode. I've seen clips of him freaking out over someone asking a clarifying question about something Hasan said. He's an LA bimbo who needs to shut up and put a fake smile on when he feels less than the poster hung up in his stairway.

Veeron

i think this is a joke but if its not you should probably just not pay for a patreon subscription to hasan?

Brittany Lewis

That’s true, and thank you! There’s also a chance of having endometriosis with either of them.

Nazow Tarakai

I’m in medical school — up until VERY recently (like the last decade) men were used as the gold standard for medical testing cos women were considered men but with pesky hormones so they aren’t good to test on. It’s crap. Also there is a reason why red heads are different too — it’s they have a gene that make them metabolize anesthesia faster

Nazow Tarakai

The beard thing, if you’re naturally hairy, it’s normal. But if it’s a new thing or you aren’t a natural hairy person, then it’s probably a hormone imbalance, but there can be other issues. EDIT: If it’s only five that’s fine lol it just happens LMAO

Ellen Norris-Thompson

QT, 5 is a few, I'm 27 and have four lmao they only started two years ago

abigail

seems like if anyone should have any issue with it it’s QT. not random people getting upset about something she has to go through and deal with (we love and support you queen).

Remdragon8

5 hairs is usually fine. I wouldnt say that it is allot. Though if you feel you should get it checked out follow your gut. But I've had like a full face of beard hairs ever since puberty, so I don't know what its like to start getting them later in life.

John Cunningham

excess protein is directly translated to fat buddy

Kate

QT PCOS doesn’t require you to have ovarian cysts. It’s mostly about high testosterone and regarding your weight it might be insulin resistance

LucyLun4r

QT when I turned 29 my body decided to riot and completely changed. I became even more sensitive to anything I put on my body, especially my face, I started to gain weight, My periods became crazy heavy and painful, I started getting thick random hairs on my face, I started getting ovarian cysts. UTI's were crazy for a minute. I thought I was pre- menopausal. Everyone told me its my age.

Patricia Deveaux

you guys should get Sam and Colby on the podcast !

Katie

PCOS has no “cure”, and getting pregnant certainly is not one of them

JohnnyT

Yeah, mixed it with endometriosis. My bad, was writing fast and not paying much attention. Sorry about that

feels crazy to speculate and discuss someone’s mental health in this way

@qt !! Plucking will likely make it worse! Go to a good electrolysis tech. I think you can get your levels checked relatively easily but I’m in a diff country so not sure what the US is like.

Hate to admit Austin is right, your body can only absorb around 30g of protein per hour (extra protein is still very filling so it helps keep you full longer, but it doesn’t help with gains)

The anesthesiologist will ask if you’ve had problems with anesthesia in the past, but they won’t give you extra preemptively. My brother and I are “secret redheads” where we have the same issues but without the red hair. Before anyone freaks out, we have redheaded cousins. If you don’t have readheaded family you probably don’t have it lol.
