My dog has clumps of fur come off all the time, it's just their undercoat gets a little crazy in the winter months

Dogs with double coats blow their coats twice a year and shed basically a second dog worth of fur. She just needs a really good rake and blow-out.

I would not worry about the shedding! I had a golden retriever (they have double coats) and when he shed, you could just pick out tufts of fur which I thought was kinda fun 😂 The undercoat, the part that’s shedding like crazy, is like a pale tan or off white color and that tends to shed in tufts so whenever I saw a lil patch of off white fur on my dog, I could just gently pull on it and a big clump would come out which was oddly satisfying! The groomers probably have a deshedding service where they basically use a high velocity hair dryer (no hot air) to really remove almost all of that undercoat! Afterwords, they will probably still shed like crazy at home because all of the fur is loose so anything that they didn’t get, will fall out but just not in clumps anymore!

Since the clumps of fur that are coming off are a light brown/off white, and not dark, that’s her undercoat which is supposed to shed twice a year! So light fur=undercoat and dark fur=overcoat If she were losing clumps of dark fur, that could be concerning but since it’s light, it’s just normal shedding!

I hadn’t thought about it in a while but then saw that Ethan gave himself an award at his Steamies award show for Best Apology of 2023 for his apology to QT. He made himself the only nominee so people had to vote for him and then went on stage like he deserved to be celebrated for it. It irked me so much. Felt so disrespectful, cruel, and unfunny towards QT for no reason.

As a long time H3 fan I have to say that I think Ethan has much more self loathing than people think. I genuinely think he was embarrassed and felt extremely stupid for what happened. The way he deals with the mistakes he’s made online are to lean into them with levity. That being said, I completely understand why people continue to be upset about it and my heart breaks for QT everytime she talks about that situation.

Lmao listening to Hasan talk about his dog was literally me the first year i got my husky. I call it harvesting when I pull actual clumps of hair out of my dog. Very normal with double coated dogs. Mine also just went through a pseudo pregnancy haha

You can like Ethan, but it was still shitty and horrible behavior in that moment. All QT wanted was to be taken seriously and Ethan set up a moment that turned that into a meme and a joke.

I felt so bad when QT described the AI porn/AI modesty edits and how it affected her personally. It is honestly one of the more terrifying aspects of thinking about becoming a female content creator. I hope Taylor Swift can actually affect stuff on a legislative level to prevent this shit from happening to everyone. At the very least, make it incredibly easy to get stuff taken down or to penalize people who do weird shit with AI and using people's likeness.
