Common misconception is that Jedi are celibate. They are only “forbidden from forming attachments” so essentially banned from relationships which is the biggest reason for the order’s downfall in the prequel trilogy. This is also the main story of the Original Trilogy. It’s what made Luke so special, his attachments to his friends and family are what helped make him a better Jedi even when yoda and obi-wan consistently warned and scolded him for it.

He goes from baby to old in the light novels and has serious character development. Him being a shut in cringe perverted loser, realising it over time, and growing out of it is a serious plot point, and was written when it wasn't a cliche (This started the cliche). The issue is the anime adaptation taking 4 years to go over the most cringe parts and might have pulled focus from that. Also the worldbuilding is very good and the anime specifically does things that other anime don't do.

I might be completely alone here and that’s fine but I’m going to say it… I don’t dislike guest eps but my favorites are with just the co-hosts because of their dynamic when it’s those 4 together. With next week’s ep, only 1 out of the last 12 has been a “regular” one with them. I get circumstances that make it difficult but damn do I miss when we got Fear& fam episodes a little more often.

But yeah, I definitely get why people would complain, specially when there were periods in the past when they had a bunch of short episodes without much justification and it sucked. their Patreon is a lot younger, they have a smaller viewer-base, and I'd agree that they don't do a very good job promoting it (considering the value) of 50-80% more content for $5/month) Besides that, just FYI that there is an episode of S&E with these 5 coming out this Friday (2/9/24). Idk about a bonus episode, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
