We’re doing one last read-through of the Dune video script & storyboard before the final video is produced. You can watch live in 12 hours, or watch later. Would love to hear your feedback!

This is the biggest Alt Shift X video ever, about 1hr 30mins long. A lot of work has gone into this one. I'm sorry it's taken so long. But can’t wait to release it for yall. It'll be available for Patrons in mid May.

After this first big Dune video, there’ll be a smaller video about the philosophy and themes of Dune – it’s already mostly done, won’t take long to complete. There'll also be a podcast interview with a special guest, and a Q&A livestream. After that, we’re on to The Real Jon Snow video, then focussing on House of the Dragon and Fire & Blood.

I don't know where to put this but it's something I've been wondering for a while, and I've not researched it, maybe I should. I wonder if people are getting mesmerized, possessed, distracted, wizardized, you know what I mean...via mummers and singers, Arbor Gold and Dornish Red, rubies and cloth-of-gold, Myrish lace and Tyroshi dyes, and anything of Ixian manufacture. Like, there's a "taint" to certain objects; they're meant to get in one's psyche and...do what? I don't know yet, but I don't think it's anything that could be for the "good" of the realm...but "good" is a subjective term.

Maybe it's similar to our own world, though: drink and possessions can breed desire, and they can change us, distracting us from the truth, altering our thoughts on what's important, and corrupting us entirely if we're not careful. We cannot serve two Gods (type of scenario). Perhaps I answered my own question and just needed to write it out. But in my previous post I DO list specific things that just stand out to me as being especially important to the story. Rubies were the first thing to stand out to me, in the books and illustrations. Wine caught my eye in the show as it was everywhere and I was thinking, "Someone important wants everyone 'under the influence.'"

I think Cersei is an excellent cautionary tale on the dangers of overindulgence in wine, luxury, vanity, wildfire, Aurane Waters, and all manner of shiny distractions.

@AltShiftX I think my favorite Aurane Waters moment is when Cersei’s small council is trying to remember the name of the new Ironborn king, and this guy just sits there saying nothing, as if a mariner doesn’t know who Euron Crow’s Eye is. Personally, I ship Aurane with Asha (no pun intended). She likes pretty Valyrian boys, they’d have witty banter, and the Greyjoys need a new fleet to take down Euron. Match made in heaven.
