Update: S1E01, Essos, Stark history (Patreon)

We've got three very different ASOIAF/GOT videos coming up –

The S1E01 video looks back at the very first episode of GOT, analysing how it connects to the rest of the series. So we cover character stuff like Eddard's legacy, and Daenerys' transformation, as well as mysteries like the white walkers, and Benjen Stark, and other neat little connections and foreshadowing. Now that the GOT final season release date is announced, now's a good time to see how it all began...

The Essos video explores the most distant and exotic places in the world of ice and fire – Sothoryos, Yeen, Sarnor, Ib, Yi Ti, Leng, Asshai, and more. This is a really special video because of the artwork we're featuring – we've got dozens of pieces, some never-before-seen, illustrating the strangest most mysterious places in ASOIAF. We're approaching the video design a little differently in this vid – less text on-screen, so we don't get in the way of the artwork. The video's big – about 20 minutes long – and almost complete.

The Stark history video is about the ancient Starks, Winterfell and its crypts, Brandon the Builder, and all their mysteries... And the deeper we dig, the more it becomes a video about the Long Night, the Others, Azor Ahai and the Night's King. In some ways it's an update of the old Others video. Might end up titling the video ""Winter is coming": how did ancient Starks defeat the white walkers?" We're doing a lot of deep research for this one, and it's still a ways off.

The S1E01 and Essos videos will both be released for Patrons within the next couple weeks – probably the GOT S1E01 one first. Fire and Blood comes out soon, and we'll probably do a video on that... And there might be a GOT trailer out soon... Now that we're in the final stretch to the end of Game of Thrones, expect many more GOT videos from now til April.
