Bloodraven is a tough character to figure out. There’s so much vagueness and mystery to every part of his story – each answer just seems to raise new questions. There are lots of moving parts to contend with – Bittersteel, Bran, the children of the forest, the old gods, the Others, Euron, Quaithe, Aemon, Jon, Azor Ahai. But I think we can use the text to work out a pretty convincing perspective on Bloodraven – connecting his backstory as Brynden Rivers to his role as the three-eyed crow. For $5+ Patrons, we're holding a livestream at 11pm ET Saturday - come talk Bloodraven!

Once Bloodraven's done, we’ll open a Patron vote to pick another big GOT video topic. Will probably do a short GOT video in-between – maybe about Nettles? Another non-GOT tv show could also be fun – are you interested in a video about the new Netflix series Altered Carbon? Dark is also a possibility.

So yeah – the Bloodraven video will be dope, and it’s coming soon. A livestream on Saturday, and a vote after that – and more GOT and non-GOT vids are ahead.

Thanks for your support!

Ive thought about Bloodraven warging into Bran before he was killed. The only real evidence, which isnt much, is the way Bran is totally robotic like hes someone else and the someone else isnt comfortable. Thing is, I think the idea that Bran is just so messed up due to him downloading the weirwood net makes as much sense as Bloodraven taking his body and being uncomfortable. This makes you wonder how old Bloodraven is, who he is, and how long he did that before he entered Brendyn Rivers and became the character we know. That is all total speculation so ignoring all that, Bran says its difficult to explain, it is. He actually did explain it to Sansa, Sansa was unable to comprehend that which is reasonable, all things considered. Bran talked about it a few times, so maybe he needs more time. The idea that Bran is no longer Bran isnt purely speculation, it just seems like more than we expect from the show. The Hound literally saw a mountain like an arrowhead, Mirra Reed literally said Bran died in that cave. Maybe its just crazy enough to work. I know you addressed me on your stream and I didnt want to discuss on the stream. I did want to expand on my thoughts though. Take it easy!

The way Bran's actor has described it in interviews, Bran is struggling to process all of his new knowledge at once - but maybe with time he'll settle down and become more human again? As for Bloodraven, I don't think the show has portrayed him as a sufficiently sinister character to steal Bran's body. In the books, however, Bloodraven and the children of the forest seem way more suspicious... Thanks mate!
