Epoch finally, finally gives us a pair of games that they bothered to license rather than just blatantly rip off. Interestingly, both hail from the U.S. computer scene, suggesting that Epoch was perhaps trying to rip off Hudson here by duplicating their success with American import Lode Runner. It didn't exactly pan out, as Miner 2049er and Boulder Dash for Super Cassette Vision failed to move the needle in any way whatsoever. The ports themselves vary wildly in quality, with Boulder Dash being fairly obnxious and Miner 2049er playing pretty well. Of course, they both collapse in the face of the ultimate Super Cassette Vision challenge: The joystick.
