The latest Anatomy of Games piece is up:

http://www.anatomyofgames.com/2015/11/24/the-anatomy-of-super-castlevania-iv-iii-stable-condition/

I should have one final post for you before the end of the month, and it's a big one—I'm pretty sure it's going to be the lengthiest and most detailed video I've done so far. As usual, "holidays" mean "family" and "family obligations" around these parts, so I will have to sneak in production work when no one is looking.

And my Good Nintentions-sized shipping boxes have arrived at last, so I will also be prepping those over the holiday. Rejoice!

The Anatomy of Super Castlevania IV | III | Stable condition

There's a lot of ground to cover in stage one of Super Castlevania IV-literally. This opening level sprawls even further, and introduces more game mechanics, than even the massive first stage of Castlevania III. Many of the tricks and lessons it teaches cover the same ground as the previous game, as we'll see here in the final block, which transpires across a surprisingly enormous stable.
