And I'm on the hook to get back on a weekly schedule now, since I've begun including public dates for the next episode at the end of the videos.

So! It's always a little tough to get back into the groove of video editing when I encounter a major schedule disruption, but we are GO once more. Game Boy World hits milestone episode 50 with a look at a puzzle game that is, shockingly, NOT boring and stupid. Daedalian Opus may have a clunky name, but the game itself is anything but! Enjoy! And maybe track down a copy of this addictive little game for yourself. I think it goes for a pittance on eBay if you don't require the box.

Book-level backers: I will be placing the order for Good Nintentions copies in about a week. I'm just waiting for my next paycheck! You should have your edition in hand before Thanksgiving. Unless you're Canadian, in which case, uh... yeah, sorry, missed that deadline.

Game Boy World #050: Daedalian Opus [Vic Tokai, 1990]

Sure, we've seen a lot of puzzle games on Game Boy-and I do mean a LOT of puzzle games. And there are so, so many more to come. But every once in a while, one rises above the morass to merit attention, and that's precisely what we have with Vic Tokai's Daedalian Opus.
