Hey everyone! Thank you for your words of support after last week's post. That was meant as a simple statement of gratitude (not a request or anything), but everyone seemed totally supportive, and several of you went a step beyond to help out. I'm a little overwhelmed by it. I don't really know how to reciprocate, but I'll at least try to make a start by sharing this week's video a few days early. This is one of those "barely justified to fit this venture by way of an incredibly flimsy excuse" pieces I mentioned, focused on a game I love....

Again: Thank you!

(I realize this NES Works Gaiden is running out of numeric order—I've already recorded #10, but I felt inspired this morning to produce this episode first.)

Edit: There were some errors in the original upload which I've corrected. Apologies to everyone's whose YouTube comments were lost...

Mega Man Legends retrospective: Ten true summers | NES Works Gaiden #11

Things are changing a little bit while we're all hunkered down for the pandemic. Some people cope with booze or by binge-watching; I cope by making videos about games I love. Case in point: Mega Man Legends for PlayStation, which is well outside the scope of Video Works... but I'm let it kite along in the slipstream of the recent NES Mega Man retrospective. It's an incredible game—a personal favorite. So, folks: Just roll with it. Video Works is funded through Patreon (http://www.patreon.com/gamespite) — support the show and get access to every episode up to two weeks in advance of its YouTube debut! And be sure to check out the Retronauts podcast (http://www.retronauts.com), where I (and many others!) tackle a much wider array of classic gaming topics each week.

Jeremy, what would you prefer for a 2020 Switch follow up? - A Mega Man Legends “remaster”? or -A modern version of the unreleased MML3? I was thinking it’d be nice to play the original with modern controls, keeping something closer to original graphics. I’ll acknowledge that either is a pipe dream.
