Based on the replies to my solicitation over the weekend, it seems pretty obvious people are drawn much more to Game Boy World than Anatomy of Games... so much so, in fact, I'm wondering if it's really a good idea to publish so much Anatomy material. Would you all rather I produce more video content than written? That means fewer items each month, since video takes much longer to create, but I'm into it if you are. Speaking of less content, I apologize that updates to my projects are pretty much not happening this week — it's the final week of the fall review crunch, and last week's Retronauts recording marathon was super disruptive. I'll be back on a normal (or better) schedule next week, with a goal of finishing up Game Boy World's 1989 releases (five more games!) by the end of the year, along with a few Anatomy and Metroidvania videos. Should be fun. Thanks as always for your support!

Please understand that GBW isn't about nostalgia — it's a historical research/curation project for a platform that has gone largely ignored. Anything I do is going to need to have more substance behind it than "I love these games."

While anatomy of games are great, obviously a lot of the games are games you are intimately familiar with and you are knowledgable to speak about in depth. Which is a good thing. Unfortunately, sometimes they are games I'm not that interested in reading about in that much depth. This is not your fault, it's mine. Like I can read Anatomy of Mario much more enjoyably than anatomy of Goonies which I didn't care for. (The game not the articles.) Wheras being a huge Chronogaming fan, and looking at in depth history of a systems library in release order is a joy to read about. Every single game. It's video game history and it is compelling stuff. And you are building a compelling body of work on the Gameboy library. If I could channel all my funding to GBW I would.
