Told you I would work more on the Hive from now on! I plan two or three days on this project for this month.

in this latest batch of work, I sketched over the 3D render of one of the background as you see above. The 3D itself is not mine, I commissionned a 3D artist to get it done some months ago.

One of the goal of this method was to get faster results. But even if it take off a good chunk of work, the sketch took me surprinsingly long. I had to look at references for every object and gathering the right references in itself took enough time.

But on the good side, it was a good test to see what's possible to do with limited time. Right now, it should be ready for linework and color.

I'll probably go with flats colors for the final pic. Seeing the time it took, better keep it simple!

I also worked on new outfits for some of the "littles".

First is Megan!

I did another redesign of this character. She's way different than in the first drafts.

Since she's not going to wear anything else that a straightjacket for her first few appearances, I didn't draw a set of arms yet.

And second is Alyssa!

I had a ton of fun designing this outfit. I think it works best without the socks.

You'll notice that each "family" have a slightly different brand of diapers. I thought it could be a nice touch.

And still no arms! Right now I want to focus on the outfits so I'll probably work on arms later.

And that's about it! Next week, I'll work on Perpetual Change, hope you liked this batch!

I agree on Alyssa's outfit. Deffo best with the socks. I get a little giddy each Hive update we get. Can't wait to learn more.

I hate to be negative but i am actually really sad you changed megans design. I absolutely adored her previous look. I hope you can recycle that design for another character in the future.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there's still one or two characters left to create entirely, probably staff members so I could re-use the first design!

Awesome! You are doing such a wonderful job keeping the cast diverse and I would hate to see certain characters get whitewashed.
