[The Hive] Pre-production #13 (Patreon)

Exceptionally, I'm moving the Perpetual Change demo to next Saturday.

I didn't had as much time as I wanted to work on it and there's still Hazmabat illustration to finish. I plan to complete it this Wednesday and release the new game demo later.

All the endings aren't done but you'll be able to experience the bad and good ones.

More on that next saturday !

So I wanted to show you the work I was able to do on The Hive instead. There's about one week of work and I'm happy to share my graphic wanderings with you!

I did some testing with the user interface to give a better idea of what the game might look like, what kind of menus work better, etc.

I spent a long time looking for references and doing tests to get something pleasing to the eye. I'm pretty happy with the layout and colors right now.

Another test was the relationship menu. This one is much more basic, I just wanted to place some elements and see what work.

As you saw above, I also worked on characters. Some have a new design.

Alyssa have a new haircut and Iris, Megan and Martha designs have been modified.

I also worked robots design! That was a nice change and something I don't usually do. I'm particularly happy with the design of the military robot.

And finally, I drew arms for all the secondary characters, the ones who won't change clothes.

From now on, and as Perpetual Change is gradually coming to an end, I'll probably be working two to three days a month on The Hive.

Writing for the project should start in May, if all goes well.

I plan to work on Renpy. It looks more complicated than others game engines but it also looks to be more flexible and to offer more options.
