I think the device on her head is more of a vr device but i could be wrong.. The device pretty much would hypnotise her and allow Dr Gero to implement whatever he wants into her brain by rewiring her with it.

I actually picture this as not a alt page but page 2 because it explains how she would be mentally regressed to become a adult baby.
