I am pleased to report on my June 2020 haruhisky activities.

I have published a new book, Harukosu 11, with four pages of new drawings.

The new illustrations will be added to the digital version of "Harukosu 11".

I drew an illustration of a pillow cover for Haruhi at the request of "Ippon Satisfaction Pillow".

I think there will be an announcement of distribution from "Ippon-Satisfaction Pillow" by the middle of July. I'll upload a sample image here as well.

The design is bunny cosplay and reverse bunny. (A rough sketch is available.)

I don't know if "Ippon-Satisfied Pillow" is shipping to other countries outside of Japan, sorry.

Air transport from Japan has been suspended in many countries due to the coronavirus.

I'm currently working on getting it to about 40 pages in pen.

I'm very sorry, but considering the volume of the magazine, would you be willing to merge June and July into a special offer?

I will make sure it is completed by the end of July.

For new supporters.

The haruhisky's Patrion page has three tiers for you to choose from

Free tier: SFW rough and color illustrations will be posted.

1$ tier:  NSFW rough and color illustrations will be posted.

5$ tier: This is a high resolution image course. This is the course for the differences in nakedness and different costumes. You can view past posts without restriction.

10$ tier: A digital version of the doujinshi. Digital versions of past doujinshi will also be available to view without restriction.

As a matter of policy, I do not place any restrictions on viewing past submissions. Of course, you are free to change tiers or withdraw from the course for a trial, and you are welcome to return to the paid tier again. I am. We would appreciate it if you could support us as much as you can.

I will try to update this site at least once a day. There may be days when I can't update this site due to my workload, but I hope you will forgive me.

80 pages?! Wow! So incredibly excited for that. Take your time with it. We can wait!

Ancestral

Ufff, one month again T_T But take the time you need, I'm absolutely sure it will be worth it. Maybe you can provide some teasing pics of Yuina while waiting? ;)

haruhisky

Sorry I'm late! I'm going to do some new color illustrations of Yuina. I'm also planning to work on the translations as soon as possible. (I was quickly contacted by the translation team that always translates my doujinshi for me. Thanks!)

With 80 pages of content, I don't see how I could possibly be disappointed. You're doing a great job and I can't wait to see the final results in July! Don't work yourself too hard! Haruhi continues to look amazing!

Nazgul4

It's amazing how much work you got done this month! And 80 pages are quite an achievement as well! As always, I'm looking forward to your work. Stay healthy and don't forget to relax and reward yourself every once in a while ^^

haruhisky

Thank you so much!! I hope to bring you many more Haruhi illustrations in July!

haruhisky

Thank you! I'll do my best to draw it! Please take care of your health, Nazgul!

MechaboyDos

Definitely don't mind waiting if we get 80 pages worth of content. You've done a lot this month and it's all great work as always. Don't push yourself too hard!

Delute

Yep, would gladly wait. Do what you need to get things done!

That dakimakura illustration has been my favorite this year, and we're not allowed to have it. I hate those dakimakura companies so much. Their whole business model is centered around selling overpriced prints and doing everything possible to keep the original digital artwork inaccessible, then at some point just destroy it when the pillow cover goes out of print. (I guess they keep it on a harddrive somewhere, but that will break after a few years, so it's the same as destroying the artwork.) Those companies symbolize everything that's wrong with the anime industry today. Those terrible gacha game companies are even worse. All those companies are a bunch of businessmen earning a nice monthly salary, while paying freelance artists a one-time payment to create beautiful art. Those are people who don't care about the artwork iself, only that it can be used to extort insane amounts of money from the people who do love the artwork. They don't care if the high quality original is lost forever, after it has been commercially exhausted. After 10 years the only thing that's left of the amazing art are low resolution JPGs with "sample" written over them, and illegal low quality scans of the dakimakura or poster, uploaded to some image boards. Seeing you work for those horrible parasitic companies is like a punch in my face. There is something so beautiful that I love, yet despite being willing to pay, I'm denied access to it, because some businessmen want to exploit it. One of my main reasons for financially supporting artists who's work I like, is to prevent that situation. To allow artists to actually release their work directly to fans. Giving them special permission to keep this illustration from being released to your supporters is just horrible. Why didn't you negotiate to be able to release it? Contracts are made to be changed, not to be blindly signed. One of the reasons I liked to support you so far is because you don't accept private commissions anymore.

Very informative post, and 80 pages is really cool! The idea with a pillow is just fine. Yes, now the matter is shipping, let's see how it will be ...

haruhisky

Thank you! I promise to have the work completed and delivered by the end of July.

I can understand your anger. However, in this case, I think it's understandable the hardship on the part of the producers. A product called a pillowcase almost always has to contend with pirated products. The people who make pirated products, sometimes even from low-resolution illustrations with sample text on them. And if they get a high-resolution illustration, they'll be overjoyed to sell it. And the cost to them to get that illustration is only $10! (Or they won't even pay that $10.) When creating a product, artwork can be difficult for creators to publish freely. But there is often a rationale for this, which is to prevent the production of pirated goods.

haruhisky

Flights from Japan to overseas are being restored. Perhaps it would be a good idea for you guys to have me purchase the hug pillowcase on your behalf. In other words, it might be better for me to consolidate the orders on Patreon, buy on behalf of them, and ship the products to each of them.

haruhisky

Thank you, and please stay healthy too! Support can be given whenever you can afford it. Your financial situation and your health must come first!

Yes, I know the art is being destroyed for the sake of business, that's nothing new. It's the one single thing I hate most about the anime industry. Every piece of official digital high resolution anime art I own is a scan of some poster, even though it was created digitally and I'm willing to pay for it. So if the issue is piracy, why don't the publishers get timed exclusivity for the duration of the print run? You said it yourself, that pirates will print from any low resolution source they can find. So it's not even achieving the goal of preventing piracy. Dakimakura illustrations are my favorite type of illustration, but I can't be paying 10000 yen for each illustration I like, just to get a useless version of it on a piece of fabric. I view the digital art I enjoy on my computer.

haruhisky

Preventing pirated goods from being created even from low-resolution images and preventing pirated goods from being created from high-resolution images are two separate issues. The major problem is that people can make copies of products that are indistinguishable from official products and pirated versions if they get the high-resolution original images.

Supreme Leader G

Oh gosh, I'm looking forward to the completion of this daki

Takuya Sawatari

Then just go for timed exclusivity, so they can make their oh so important profit and satisfy shareholders. That company trying to prevent "piracy" is even more disgusting in this case, since they don't even own the character, but are just parasites leeching of KyoAni's legacy.
