Giants are known to regularly groom themselves. However during wetter climates, their fur tends to retain water, which allows moss and all sorts of vegetation to grow on them: This doesn't seem to bother the giants, but only up to a point where it becomes too overgrown and irritable, in which case they simply just wash it away.

One could argue it that does make a good natural fashion accessory, albeit a smelly one.
