"This page was the primary re-introduction to a 'new' character. I wanted to simultaneously hint at who it was in a fairly obvious way, but not entirely show her off. I also wanted her to be shown as being powerful and something of a significant threat. Salvadora main villain roster is fairly jokey and doesn't tend to cause any real dangers most of the time and I wanted to write something of a what-if scenario that ended up resulting in about a year and a half of work. I just hope the pay-off is worth it in the end."
