②Season 2 Cover Illustration / シーズン２表紙

We submitted two proposals and decided on the one on the bottom side.

It says "the window is open" in Japanese, but I think he probably meant to say that the curtains are open.

2案提出して下の案に決定しました。

「窓は開いてて」と書いてありますが、たぶんカーテンが開いてるって言いたかったんだと思います。

③Season 3 cover illustration / シーズン3表紙

Since the plan was to make it a picture of a travel destination, we submitted two proposals, one for an open-air bath and the other for a guest room.

We decided on proposal ① in the upper left corner.

旅行先の絵にする予定だったので、露天風呂と客室の絵を2案ずつ提出しました。

左上の案①に決定しました。

I felt that Masumi's feet were in the way, so I lowered her feet, resulting in a picture that seemed to hide her hands, so I changed the placement of the hands as shown on the right.

真澄の足が邪魔な気がすると思って足を下げた結果、手を隠してるような絵になってしまったので、右のように手の配置を変えました。

●Talk about data used for background /  背景データの話

I used to use 3D for bathrooms, beds, sofas, and lovehouses, but starting from episode 9, I introduced My Home Designer PRO9, a software that costs about 100,000 yen.

It seems to be a software used for house construction, etc., but for a while it was a hot topic among cartoonists because it can be converted into line drawings.

I had been drawing everything except for the above by hand, so I created the data in a way that was as consistent as possible.

The colors of the furniture are appropriate since they are only used for line drawings and shadows. 

風呂場やベッド、ソファ、ラブホで3Dを使用していましたが、9話からマイホームデザイナーPRO9を導入しました。10万円くらいするソフトです。

家の建築とかに使われるソフトらしいですが、線画化できるため一時期漫画家の間で話題になってました。

それまで上記以外は手描きしてたので、出来るだけ矛盾しないようにデータを作成しました。

線画・影に使用するだけなので家具の色は適当です。

Originally, I was set up to live alone in an apartment, but if it is in Tokyo, I think I live in a pretty nice place.

もともとは一人暮らしでマンションの設定でしたが、都内だとするとけっこういい家住んでるなと思います。

The shelves are empty, but I can add more writing as needed.

I just noticed that the entrance monitor and light switch are too high.

Maybe I didn't use the data for this direction.

今気づいたけど玄関モニターと電気のスイッチの位置が高すぎる。

たぶんこっちの方向のデータを使用してなかったんだと思います。

棚の中空っぽですが、必要に応じて書き足したりします。

・Masumi’s House bedroom / 真澄の家　寝室

Although it hardly appears, there is actually a study desk for Satoko.

I didn't think about the study desk in the beginning, but I put it in because I wondered if she was not interested in studying even though she is set up to live in Masumi's house because it is close to school.

殆ど登場しませんが、実は聡子の勉強机があります。

序盤は勉強机の事を考えていませんでしたが、学校が近いから真澄の家に住んでいる設定なのに勉強する気がないのはどうなのかと思って入れました。

Since it was too much work to come up with a floor plan, we used the data that came with the software to place the furniture.

間取りを考えるのが面倒だったので、ソフトに付属されていたデータを使用して家具を配置しました。

The position of the windows is the same as in the original data, but it looks very nostalgic, just like my room in my parents' house.

The curtains are all used because the color will run out anyway.

Satoko's stuffed cat is hand painted.

窓の位置はもともとのデータのままなんですが、ものすごく私の実家の私の部屋と同じで懐かしい感じがします。

カーテンはどうせが色がなくなるからと全部使いまわししています。

聡子の猫のぬいぐるみは手描きしてます。

I think the sofa on the front side of the image almost didn't show up.

The living room is very spacious....

画像手前側のソファの方はほとんど出てこなかったと思います。

リビングめっちゃ広いね…。

大したことはしてませんがこんな感じで背景が出来ます。

Export line drawings in My Home Designer

マイホームデザイナーで線画を書き出し

Export a white model without line drawing at the same angle

同じ角度で線画なしのホワイトモデルを書き出し

Import into Clip Studio

Line drawing → Convert to layers and adjust by hand if necessary

White model → convert to tone

Adjust tone, contrast, brightness, or leave as is.

The coloring part is manual.

クリスタに読み込ませる

線画→レイヤー変換後、必要があれば手で調整したりしなかったり

ホワイトモデル→トーンに変換

階調化したりコントラストや明るさを調整したりそのままだったり、フィーリングで

色を付ける部分は手動です

It is not a software for backgrounds, so it is a little difficult to use, but it is very useful. I am glad I bought it.

The background is not a part that gets a lot of attention, but it is part of the work, so I want to make it fit in with the pattern and touch of the painting.

背景用のソフトではないので、少し使いづらいところはありますが、すごく便利です。買ってよかったと思います。

背景はあまり注目される部分ではないですが、作品の一部ではあるので、絵柄やタッチになじませたいと思っています。
