You can watch both movies right now. Phoenix priestess is first. Then next one is dragon cry. I would recommend watching them both next. As the end of dragon cry fits into the start of the next arc.

Just since u mentioned shows. Would love to see you guys do Code Geass: Lelouch of the rebellion r1 and r2. So season 1 and 2 of code geass some day. (is a complete show with an ending). One of the best stories i've ever seen. And nailed the ending.

To give more context about the timeline situation, think of it this way. There are 3 timelines based on what we know and how they connect with each other, because each timeline affects the others. "Original timeline" - The world has been mostly destroyed and Acnologia is the ruler (this is 7 years after the GMG). The dragon attack at the GMG never happened (Because this was caused by the second timeline), however Fairy Tail still ends up breaking up after Tartaros and Gray ends up in Avatar. And because Natsu wasn't around to stop him, Rogue goes to this mission and Gray kills Frosch to keep his cover (This is just speculaton based on what we know). "Dragon Timeline" - This is a direct result from the "Original timeline" (And is what we saw during the Grand Magic Games) Shadow Rogue comes to the "past" in an attempt to permanently change the timeline and kill Acnologia and become King of Dragons. He uses Eclipse to bring dragons from the past so he can have his own army against Acnologia. After Natsu destroys the Eclipse gate, this timeline gets "overwritten" with the current timeline. Rogue tells Natsu about Gray killing Frosch. "Current timeline" - Because "Future Rogue" warned Natsu about Gray killing Frosch, Natsu stepped in and stopped Gray from doing so. This stopped the shadows from taking over Rogue, meaning that now the second timeline cannot happen at all, permanently cementing this timeline as the "correct" one. I hope this helps.
