Can’t wait to see their reaction to Umbridge 😂

I'm guessing neither of you have read the books, but they explain a bit of this in them. The reason Neville has such a strong reaction to seeing the Cruciatus Curse, is because during the time that Voldemort was active and in power, his parents were tortured to the point of insanity by Death Eaters and they are permanent residents in a "psych ward" of sorts in a hospital.

Super long post explaining wtf is up with Ron in the first half of this film (bear with me): Ron isn't even mad that Harry is competing in the tournament. Ron's mad because he has helped Harry and been there for him through everything and (from his perspective) Harry didn't even tell him that he's going to enter this competition. You have to remember that nobody understood how his name got in the cup and there is no real reasonable doubt at that point that Harry did not do it. From Ron's perspective it makes no sense Harry didn't do it, who is going to put somebody else's name in The goblet to compete for eternal glory? Ron is mad because he's a 14-year-old boy who has an inability to express himself with his words, but also because he has put his life on the line more than once for Harry, Ron has helped Harry and stood by him when he had nobody etc without him none of Harry's adventures would be possible but Ron is just the sidekick and "Harry Potter's friend" or "one of the Weasley kids" and he has always craved to stand out and not just be in the background (like in the first movie if you recall when he looked in the mirror he saw himself as quidditch captain and head boy) but when there's an opportunity for eternal glory and it looks like Harry put himself in for it and didn't even TELL him, that has to hit a 14 year old boy right in the inadequacy and insecurity feels. I imagine to some degree for him would feel like Harry is trying to keep Ron in a sidekick role because whenever Harry needs to go on a mission or an adventure he asks for Ron's help and fills him in but when it's a chance to be a somebody and to stand out from the crowd forever he isn't even in the loop. Again I am just speculating/ giving my theory obvs all of this is just based on the characterization of Ron as a person and based on how the stories have really focused on certain aspects so far in the films and up to this point in the books.

That was articulated really well! I like the perspective on ron

I've skimmed through most of the beginnings of these movies with you guys and I REALLY wish the one guy (dont know your names) explained which movies he's seen exactly and how long ago it was or if he even remembers anything. Your reactions are as if you've never seen these movies but you literally said you did while saying "so I know quite a bit about them" so to ME it seems like your reactions are fake? could the guy im talking about please explain this? I want to feel like im watching a genuine reaction.
