yay! even though its been a while, i will help with the shield that saved Vi from Sevika. 2 things come here together: #1 Vi's defence. The whole season, Vi is told that her "guard needs work" and she "still blocks with her head". #2 The gauntlets. They were designed for mining, so to defend the worker from the biggest danger in mines, which is falling stones, they can shield the user. From what i understand, the way to activate the shield combines a defensive pose with something falling down on you. So when Sevika jumps at Vi and Vi listens to Vander's advice about guarding, those 2 come together and the shield activates, surprising Vi and ending the fight. THIS is writing on the next level, they never explained it and just laid the groundwork so viewers can figure it out (or not). Took me a lot of time and many watches.

oh yes, season 2 is coming, only a teaser out so far, but its in the making and it "wont drop before 2023". Season 1 took them ~6 years with some setbacks, they said s2 wont take that long, so we will see :)
