Not spoiling but in this arc, for the sake of the plot and for you to hate some characters, Lucy will be done dirty. (here for example, the fact that a few team knew they cheated but nothing was done, like as if Natsu didn't pull the hair high enough for everyone to see 😂).That's why I have a love and hate relationship with GMG arc as someone who have Lucy as favorite characters. Also, you are totally right Lucy would have won this if it wasn't because of cheating. Honestly maybe just with her spirits alone, Uranometria would have worked too if Obra didn't nullify her power. We can see who is the real winner here. However, a least, you can see Lucy growth. That's one point why she is one of my favorite character in Fairy tail, she isn't strong right off the bat but she just keep growing little by little. She is one of the most realistic character in my opinion. I will always disagree when people say she is weak and useless beause it's totally untrue, maybe she doesn't have raw power (going hand to hand and shit like this) but her spirits take a lot of magics, they are strong for a reason, casting Uranometria isn't a simple task neither, she is often used as comedic relief but in reality, Lucy is really smart too.

One thing about Lucy, she can take one hell of a beating! All of these first matches are meant to make you really hate Raven Tail, but as I'm sure you're expecting, they'll get what's coming to them in true Fairy Tail fashion! Natsu is a goat, always helping out his lady. I can't wait for 165-167 and sooo many others!

I feel people also forget that she is the main character of the show. It follows her story as she joins fairy tail and starts to grow

Even tho Raven Tail were cheeting, this is still my fav fight of our girl Lucy, It let us know how much she grew and this is just so amazing

this episode made me so angry... but im proud of Lucy for being able to pull off Urano Metria like that, and Natsu is a gigachad for coming to Lucy
