Couple of things, yea Fax was right, they did kinda mention Ultear and Grimoire Heart destroyed Meldy's town. Ultear said something along the lines of "she's a survivor" when referring to Meldy, and then Kain (big cursy woodoo doll guy) said "then shouldnt we destroy her, we were ordered to wipe out all the people where the key of zeref was lying". also as some people've already mentioned and Neel theorized, Hades looked at Laxus and went "boy/brat" which is what he always calls Makarov, cuz he saw young Makarov in Laxus's face since that's his grandson and probably recognized that he was of Makarov's bloodline. and yes gildarts, in his state, is nerfed and really weak (-er that he should be) because he just recovered from the 100 Year Quest right before the Edolas arc and he mentioned that a black dragon (cant wait for you to find out more about it) destroyed his left leg, one of his arms, and his inner organs in just a flash. that's just crazy to think about, gildarts is already fairy tail's strongest wizard and is OP asf, being able to destroy Bluenote, and he's nerfed, could you imagine him at full strength other than that THE HYPE HASNT DIED DOWN YET THE NEXT FEW EPISODES WILL STILL BE FIRE and some crazy shit's about to go down soon, if you know you know

Not really a spoiler but later on we hear(we don't see it) that there were trade wars going on during Pretch/Hades early years of being Master that magic guilds were involved in so his interpretation of what Mavis had in mind was slightly different and Makarov brought it back. Plus Hades looked into the abyss and it looked back. Without noticing he was already far removed, chasing after his goal which he told no one. It's kinda sad.
