Boss Battles (Patreon)

Remember when I said Dynamax wouldn't be implemented? Yeah, that's still the case and I am not implementing Dynamax Pokémon. …Sorta? Truthfully, Dynamax and Rift Pokémon share some similarities, or rather, in concept they did.

Giant Pokémon that are overflowing with dark energy? Hmm... Anyway, while we aren't implementing Dynamax Pokémon verbatim, there's a few things I'm pulling from the mechanic of Max Raids into Rejuv.

If you've experienced a Max Raid battle, then this should look pretty familiar to you! Most (if not all) Rift battles with be a 2v1 battle set up like this. Before you're able to deal damage to the Rift Mon, sometimes you'll have to focus on taking out its shields first. Additionally, Pokémon in Boss Battle situations will attack multiple times in a row.  It is a 2v1 so they got to pick up the pace somehow!

This drastically changes some of the strategies some of the Rift mon use. Some of them have spawn or rely on spawn to keep up. In v13, they have been removed. So it'll take a lot of testing to get these fights back to a good balance.

As a summary, Boss Pokémon have:

+ Increased HP (Not all)
+ More turns than normal
+ Committed Tax Fraud
+ Are unaffected by moves like Destiny Bond and Perish Song
- Do not have spawn to help them. 

This is all very WIP still and is subjected to change! Truthfully, most of the changes here are visual in an attempt to make boss battles feel more grandeur~. But I'm excited for people to try them! 

As for V13 story content, I am 96% done! I have two more events to do, then the next Gym, and then a few more smaller events after. Then that's v13's story done! But I still have a lot of older projects I've started that I must finish, but I don't think they'd take as long as actual v13 content. Or maybe they will. I can't guarantee anything. Sowwy.
