Inked pages 3-4 of Hanson's Gang. 

If you ever wondered why a hairy character doesn't have body hair on these inked pages, well... As part of my creative process, the body hair is one of the final layers when I'm coloring a page. 

I can hint the amount of hair or other details in a preliminar sketch, but I don't ink them until the very late stages of the drawing.

You should imagine how difficult it was to have finished a nice, fuzzy coat of thick fur over a character, using ink ON PAPER back in the day, and then trying to correct a mistake. It's very easy now to just delete the hair layer alone, and start over if necessary, or just throwing it away.
